TAXI FARMERS






what amazes me is that these taxi Farmers plant everywhere, in whole abandon city lots, but also in tiny slivers of dirt. Unexpected planting places are what remind us city dwellers that under concrete--- this supposedly impervious surface that humans have created, there is soil, an eco system, an urban jungle.

Picked up free burlap sacks from Counter Culture today. The bags will be used to smother massive weeds inbetween the raised beds.

arugula and mizula lettuce mix (i would add in additional greens--like the tops of the beets!)
kohlrabi (look smaller than ones sold in stores, but my harvest book says to pick when the size of a plum)
